Basic Instructions:
1. Mix background color as follows: 1 bottle Cloud White mixed with Chive Green. Begin
with just a few drops, adding 1-2 drops at a time until you achieve the desired tint for
the background. Using a sponge roller, apply this to the entire kanvas and allow to dry
thoroughly. (Save any leftover paint mixture in a sealed container for use later as
touch-up).
2. Spray the back of stencil CD600 with spray adhesive and place in the middle of
the floorcloth. Press entire surface down making sure the stencil is secure.
3. Paint lattice, border and corner leaves of center design
with Pine Green. Use chive green for leaves on either side of center design tulips.
4. Measure ½" in from the edge of kanvas all the
way around and paint border in Pine Green and allow to dry completely.
5. Spray the back of stencil CD551 with spray adhesive and
place in the bottom left
corner. Paint tulips using all colors right out of the bottle for darker portions of
flower and mix each color with Cloud White for lighter petals of each tulip. (On the
yellow tulips add a small edging of peach to help it stand out). Paint outer most and low
center tulip purple, center tulip yellow, tulips on either side peach. Next paint the
tulip leaves Pine Green and Chive Green, and stems in Pine Green.
6. Lift stencil
and place in the bottom right corner. (Re-spray with adhesive if necessary). Paint next
set of tulips changing center three tulips so center tulip is peach and the two on either
side are yellow. Paint leaves and stems same as step 5.
7. Turn kanvas 180 degrees so that blank corners are now in front of you. Paint
bottom left corners the same as in step 5 and bottom right corner the same as step 6.
*Allow painted kanvas to completely dry (overnight). Seal
both front AND back with a non-yellowing, clear polyurethane sealer.
