Stepping Stones
Here we used stencil BD5703 to paint one of the many stepping stones.
|
Small Flagstones
Using the Small Flagstones stencil W5706,
we began with a light base and used a roller to apply.
|
We added white for shading using a small piece of sea sponge.
|
Then some black for more shading, also applied with a small piece of sea sponge.
|
Finishing up with a mottled rock look
|
Pathway
We found it easiest to paint a full stencil when
possible, then go back and fill in with parts of the stencil later.

Stencil W5702, River Rock, shown.
|
Finished Floor
The entire floor at a glance. We began by laying out the stepping stones and
filling in around them with river rock. Finishing out the edges with flagstone,
rotating the stencil to change the pattern of the stone.

Butterflies & Other Creatures...
Adding butterflies and other creatures to our walkway scene gave it some life.
|
The lizard, frog and bee

Ladybug
The Turtle

Note: When attempting a project such as this, be sure to allow enough time to finish
the project without being hurried, so that you can
allow enough time for the paint to properly dry. Remember to use padding for the
knees and any other part of your body that might be exposed to extensive sitting, leaning,
or kneeling.
