Instructions for Christmas Centerpiece
1. Begin by washing dust and dirt off of the terra cotta pots and saucers,
let dry completely.
2. Mix some Cloud White with a few drop of Pine Green onto the
paper plate to achieve a pale green color for base coating the pots. Be sure to mix a generous
amount, so that you have enough to coat both pots inside and out.
3. Cut apart the stencils with scissors and spray the back of the large stencil with adhesive. Place against the
large pot and use a bit of low-tack masking tape to keep the edges secure.
4. Paint the design on the side of the pot using Pot O' Gold for
the ribbon, Geranium Red for the poinsettias and Pine Green for the leaves. Next, attach
the rim stencil in the same manner and paint the holly berries with Geranium Red and the
leaves with Pine Green. Repeat this process for the other pot.
5. When you've finished the first side, place the stencils
on the opposite side and repeat the above process.
6. Next, cut styrofoam into circles to fit inside the pots.
(To do this, turn the pots upside down, trace around
the top and cut out. Trim as necessary to get it to sit inside the pot approximately
1" down). This is to both hold up the smaller pot on the larger pot and
to attach your silk greenery. Be sure to cut a hole in the smaller styrofoam and
push the candle up through the bottom to hold in place.
Instructions for Christmas Placemats
1. Begin by mixing Cloud White with a few
drops of Pine Green to achieve a light green background and base coat the placemat.
Allow to dry.
2. Using the small Paint-A-Pot stencil, start in the upper
left corner. Spray the back of the stencil with adhesive and press firmly down.
Paint the poinsettias petals Geranium Red, the centers green and highlight with white.
Take the small holly accent piece from this same stencil and paint on either side of
poinsettias using Pine Green, Geranium Red and highlight with white.
3. Each grouping of poinsettias are two repeats of this
design, with the holly accents. Allow to thoroughly dry and apply a coat of Clear Coat.
Repeat for remaining placemats.
