Basic Instructions:
1. Begin by
washing dust and dirt off of the terra cotta pots and saucers, let dry completely.
2. Next, squeeze some Daisy Cream patio paint on to the paper plate,
and with your 1" flat brush, base coat the pots, inside and out, allowing them to dry
completely between coats. It may take several coats to completely cover the pot.
3. Using the Woodland Brown, tint some of the Daisy Cream and lightly
sponge over the pots inside and out, using the sea sponge.
4. Base coat the saucers with Pine Green. You may need to
apply 2-3 coats to cover completely. Allow this to dry then lightly sponge Daisy Cream
over all surfaces.
5. Paint a Pine Green stripe along the bottom (approximately
1/2") of all the pots and when it dries sponge over the Pine Green with Daisy Cream.
6. Cut the stencils out of the background plastic. Apply spray
adhesive to the back of the stencil and allow it to dry until tacky. Position stencil on side
and rim of pot and secure edges with masking tape and paint.
7. Use the Pine Green for leaves and shading under the red
of the apple, Woodland Brown for stems and shading under the red of the apple,
Geranium Red for the apple and strawberries, Light Waterfall Blue for the blueberries.
Use the permanent marker to put the "seeds" on the strawberries by lightly
touching the tip of the pen to the pot.
8. Glue the marbles over the holes on the inside of the pots.
9. When pots are dry, apply a layer of Clear Coat inside and out.
10. Paint wooden knobs Pine Green, let dry, then glue
in place.
Note: When cleaning out the canisters, do not submerge in
water. Instead, wipe out with a damp cloth.
